Design . Code . Create

A short story about the modern web.

Let's begin

In the beginning there was only pen, paper and Photoshop.

Then coding was invented, and <things> started to move. Horrayy!

When smartphones came into play, we learned to think twice.

But the real question is, who gave us the word?

Simplicity allows your message, or your images, to stand out. It also helps focus the attention of your site visitors on the things that really matter.

Flat Design

Flat is a minimalist design genre focused on typography, flat colours and efficient user experience - it is the modern voice of the Internet.

Photoshop mockups are an indispensable step in the website creation process. They facilitate the communication between designers and Clients.

Mobile users will typically wait about 2-3 seconds for a site to load before they leave. This is how important speed is for every website.

Mobile-first Approach

Modern websites are built with mobile devices in mind right from the start. This allows to keep the mobile version of the site as simple as possible, while adding complexity for desktop devices only.

Front-end optimisation inlcudes code minification, image optimisation and caching techniques.

Until not so long ago, web animations used to be very heavy and limited only to certain browsers. Recent technologies have surpassed both of these issues.

CSS3 is probably the most light-weight way to animate your site. Its most recent feature, called Hardware Acceleration, ensures smoother transitions, particularly useful for sliders and scrolling effects.

Javascript Libraries

Javascript libraries, such as GreenSock and WebGL have revolutionised the web by allowing Flash-like animations to be viewed on any operating system (OS, Windows, Linux) and in every browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera and so on).
